Disguised

Masks are used to fool, to deceive, to frighten, be it demons, people, or our own fears. Whether we mean to or not, all of us wear a mask, every day, and it has become such an important part our life that we often don't even realize it. Sometimes it's called "getting along", smiling and making small talk when we want to scream, commit violence, and run away shrieking. Sometimes it's getting through something that hurts, and other times it's just play pretend between yourself and your friends. It goes beyond that whole "you can never really know another person" thing; you can't know them because they wear their masks, conceal themselves from others, and never let the true flesh of what hides within show to anyone, sometime not even to themselves.
